*I have always wonder what those are called. I don't quite like it because it's too processed that it does not taste like anything. And it's just bad when they make it with the look of Kitty-chan.

To be accurate, that is not a picture of narutomaki. Naruto maki has a kind of pink swirl thingy in the center while kamaboko is like that in the picture. You probably already knew that though.
Yes, I have a link under "narutomaki" with the pink swirl picture. I could not post it because it's a gif file...
There used to be 2 anime characters who really like kamaboko. One likes narutomaki, and the other one (which is a dog on a different anime program) likes chikuwa. But these shows were 20+ years back...
