ペリーヌ物語

Oh my!! This was one of my favorite Japanese animations I used to watch religiously growing up. I still remember bits and pieces of the story. Those were the good old days of quality animation on TV!! And it's available on Amazon.co.jp! The book and picture book are available at some bookstores online, too. But definitely go for the DVD.

フランダースの犬 was also another one of my all-time favorites. I still remember the overall story and the ending which made all the girls in our house cried. :-)
