箱根か草津 か下田?

Originally I was thinking of a short onsen trip to Hakone (箱根) in January, but my dad said Hakone is too commercialized and he would not be very interested if that's the case. He and my mom already went to Kinugawa (鬼怒川) the year before, so now I am looking at the next highly recommended onsen area Kusatsu (草津), even though my friend highly recommended Shimoda (下田). They all look pretty good to me!! Decision, decision... I think I am thinking of Kusatsu even though I don't plan to ski there.
