Free Paper - a term used for those freely distributed publications in Japan with lots of ads. This one, VICE, is one of the more interesting ones.

I want to read this book. There are some words of wisdom in it.

I don't get it! This room is so tiny yet so cozy looking!! What's the secret here? Is it the all-white, no clutter, simple interior?

Bought this old-fashioned cookbook over the weekend. Old-fashioned because it has no pictures in it at all. Since I seldom stay at any country inn in US, I thought having this book would let me get a hold of some of those treasured recipes from the grand-ma or even great grand-ma generations. All the recipes look very simple but full of flavors! I plan to go through it and bookmark the ones to try.

Suddenly, many people are doing paddleboarding everywhere! I will try it the next time I am in L.A. as one of the neighbors has invited us to try this out at the lake in Mission Viejo.

This is not Bay Bridge in San Francisco. This is 明石海峡大橋 - I want to go see it one of these days as there is a sandy beach and some residential area nearby with Ando Tadao san's 4x4 House facing this bridge.

K-20 is action-packed, almost like the Japanese Batman or Zorro. :) And of course, love the fact that 金城武 and 松たか子 are in it!

It's a gloomy day outside and I am working from my house today. While there are tons of food in the fridge ready for me to have my lunch, I have a sudden craving for these Szechwan Style Spicy Won Ton!! Maybe I need to go out.

So Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will be opening a restaurant in downtown Napa. I have not eaten in any of his restaurants yet, but it's interesting to know he will be coming to the Bay Area. Will definitely check it out next summer.

Personality Type

Results

Your answers suggest you are a Resolver

The four aspects that make up this personality type are:

Summary of Resolvers

  • Good at getting to the heart of a problem and quickly finding a solution
  • Make rational decisions using the facts available
  • Think of themselves as understanding, stable and easy-going
  • May focus on short-term results and lose sight of the big picture

More about Resolvers

Resolvers are independent people who quietly learn how things work by analysing large amounts of information. Should a problem arise, they solve it with as little fuss as possible. Resolvers are only interested in abstract ideas, if they can be used to solve a problem quickly.

Resolvers like to take risks: Many of them seek jobs and pastimes that put them in harms way and guarantee an adrenaline rush.

Resolvers have changed jobs most frequently since leaving full-time education, according to a UK survey.

Resolvers are often tolerant of behaviour different to their own as long as their values aren't compromised. They sometimes give the impression that they agree with other peoples' viewpoints because they don't actively disagree.

In situations where they can't use their talents or are unappreciated, Resolvers may become cynical, negatively critical or put off decisions. Under extreme stress, Resolvers could be prone to inappropriate, tearful outbursts.

Resolvers are quiet and sometimes it is difficult to get to know them; however, they often talk freely about subjects they understand well.

Resolver Careers

Resolvers are often drawn to hands-on jobs that require an analytical mind and careful organization of large amounts of data.
