Wii Arm

I don't own a Wii but I have played it a few times during gatherings and parties. Tennis is probably my favorite game among the few games I have tried. It's easy enough to make you feel you can play like the most talented Roger Federer. If I were to get the Wii, it's probably because of the tennis game.
The last BBQ party we went to was at a friend's house with a few other couples and a bunch of kids under 5 running around. They took out the Carnival game for the kids and we had to play with the kids for what seems like hours. The next morning, I finally understood what a Wii arm feels like. The soreness was really so bad that it lasted the whole day and into the night making me unable to fall sleep. Now when I see a Wii, I stay away. No more Wii arm for me, I fear the pain.

Baby Hatch

「赤ちゃんポスト」初耳でびっくりしたー!
I have never heard of "baby hatch" before until I came across this article.
I can not make up my mind if a child receiving box is a good idea or not because I don't know if it means better quality of life for the kids, or they were just being used for making money through adoption in the end. But I think even in US, there isn't officially a box or hatch where people can drop off their unwanted infants or kids, but they can give birth at the hospital and asked to have the baby left at the hospital. This kind of baby news is just too depressing!

Feeling like a stray cat?

最近どうもめぼしい記事がありません。
Time goes by really fast week after week.
I saw this picture of a stray cat taken by a blogger I frequent and somehow really like it. Is it the expression or the mood or the composition... I am not sure.

つけ麺

Learned 2 new Japanese vocabs today:

1. つけ麺 (= 撈麵 in Cantonese)
2. かえだま (= 加底 in Cantonese) Request for extra noodles after you are done, usually cost an additional 100円

Ha!

Recently we added a new door to stop the cats from entering the bedroom area so everyone could keep their bedroom doors open at night without having to worry the cats will jump up to their bed at 5am begging for food. But we are now using it during the day as well which limits the cats' playground within the house. They definitely do not like the DOOR.
Today I was working from home and I just stepped out to the kitchen area briefly to grab something to eat. I must have left just a slit open and on my way back to the study, this is what I saw. Bagel had already found where I would be and decided to sleep close by. He is so sneaky yet such a sweet smart boy, isn't he? These little things about cats just really make you love them more and more!!!!!!
