クリスマスの飾り

Christmas was over just like that but we are not packing things away yet. This is one of the decorations we have on the tree. It's also our favorite and the last breakable ornament we use.

2008 has been challenging in many ways and I don't foresee 2009 would be any easier. But let's be hopeful and focus on what's important.

But all along, I was conscious that these people are actors acting out a movie.

銀色のシーズン

瑛太と田中麗奈主演の青春映画です。
The movie took 3 months to finish shooting at Hakuba, Nagano. (長野県白馬村)
This movie is Okay. I won't mind watching it again.

日本ドラマ

猟奇的な彼女 - I like this drama because of 田中麗奈 but I don't think she is the best fit for the character. But nonetheless, I still enjoyed and finished it in 2 days! :)

死神の精度

I'm not sure if I would like this movie if 金城武 was not in it. If the main character had been played by 豊川悦司, I am pretty sure I'd have fallen asleep.

A Children's Classic

I am so happy to have come across this book, Harry the Dirty Dog, during holiday shopping! I was first attracted by the book cover and then fell in love after reading it. What is even more amazing is that it was first published in 1956 - what a lucky find for someone who rarely reads! ;)

A new vocabulary I learned today. People use it to mix with eggs, milk and sugar to make "French toast" or pie crust. How smart!

My cats! I have not been been giving them too much attention for the last year. I think this is a cool pillow design for the cats, not so much for people. I think they would love to mess with it. But it looks tough to make ... :-(

小説

I don't read much. I don't really have time. (I am not even getting enough sleep!) I can't remember when was the last time I finished reading a novel cover to cover. It's probably when I was still in high school and during the long summer vacation. It's a luxury to be able to do that now with a kid. But I read this is a great novel. I am tempted to add it to my bookshelf. But I don't want to buy something I won't be reading any time soon... But I don't want to forget about this book. So I am logging it here.

小さな幸せ

Is when my daughter's favorite substitute teacher is in her class that day. Because she is only a part-time teacher, she gets rotated around different rooms depending on which class needs help. :-(

She has attentive eyes on the kids and really provides the best care. She will check the kids' hands when they are holding a fist to make sure they did not get a hold of something tiny that they might swallow or something dirty they picked up from the floor. She will wipe the kid's nose clean often. She keeps a close distance to the kids and is ready to catch them fall. She gives them lot of hugs and kisses. She will check on my daughter when she naps and correct her sitting face down position to lying down. Teachers like her she be more common in a daycare center!!
