We went to the Farmers Market this morning and this was one of the local vendors selling potatoes. We have yet to try the purple potatoes which is purple all the way, not just the skin.

Cool House

This house is close to my idea of an ideal house. Single floor, lots of windows, large yard. There is no pool for this house but it has a view of the lake and a lake front to dock your boat. How cool is that??

Easter Fun

Here is the result of today's Easter Egg Hunt. She had one earlier in school before so she knows what it's all about. She found all 30 eggs placed around the house and collected them in the basket.

Then it was time to open them and see what she had found. Some eggs are harder to open than others and this green one especially frustrates her. In the end, she got new socks, 2 toy cars, a bunny Pez+candies, a box of raisins, a new drinking cup, a pack of string cheese, ...etc. It was a fun event! Next year, we'll place the eggs both inside and outside the house. :)

Here is tonight's dinner. I have been wanting to make green curry and finally got all the ingredients necessary. Chicken, green & red bell peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, mushroom plus ginger+shallots+garlic with coconut milk, fish sauce, brown sugar, lime juice and green curry paste! Add some parsley or green onion to garnish if you like.

バーベキュー・バック・リブ肉

I never have cravings for BBQ ribs, but my husband does every once in a while. I wonder if this is a guy thing? So he made the ribs for Sunday night dinner along with the grilled potatoes and garlic bread. I made the gourd with bacon, ground beef and some shitake mushrooms.

Fort Funston

I used to come here often when I was going to school in San Francisco. This place used to be known only to very few people and mostly hang-gliding fans. The parking lot was never more than 10-15 cars at most but these days, there are more than 40 cars and became mostly a dog park. The day we went was very sunny but not enough wind so there weren't any hang-gliders but it was still a lot of fun for my daughter. She actually cried when we had to leave. We'll definitely come here again.

Then we went for Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken for lunch and the famous ice cream place in the city. The line for ice cream was long but fast moving. We got the to-die-for Salted Caramel and Coffee Toffee.

Google Map

With Google Map, I am able to see the house I used to rent back in 1989 from my laptop. Pretty amazing! The house is much nicer looking now than before. I am sure the reason is because it's a different owner.

Simple but not affordable

I have always liked this simple dining table just did not know it's SO EXPENSIVE!

備忘

Don't dial into a meeting from your laptop more than twice in a row. Especially not in this economic challenging times when the impression of diligence sometimes speaks louder than the actual performance outcome. I think I dialed in twice to a meeting on consecutive weeks, and today someone made a comment that's almost like 'oh look, the queen has finally decided to show up in person'. Man, I am usually there on time whether in person or through remote dial-in... I thought our company promotes the whole idea of "we change the way people live, work and play"? Anyways, I will just walk across to the next building to attend in person more often from now on.
