The Princess and the Warrior

Oh my!! This was one of my favorite Japanese animations I used to watch religiously growing up. I still remember bits and pieces of the story. Those were the good old days of quality animation on TV!! And it's available on Amazon.co.jp! The book and picture book are available at some bookstores online, too. But definitely go for the DVD.
I read a few sites on Japanese moms sharing their menu along with tips and tricks on preparing the whole family's lunch boxes. Since these lunch boxes will be eaten without heating up with the microwave, they are prepared fresh every morning. (大変ですよね~) And dad's lunch box is made differently from the kids' lunch boxes. Dad's lunch box will be packed with more filling adult's food while kids'lunch box will be more colorful and fancy in appearance (often times with food cut and arranged in some cute character!) Some moms even go into the details of making a girly lunch box for their daughter and a more sporty lunch box for the older son. A lot of respectable work and creativity goes into each lunch box!!!
Interesting because there are so many things to look at:
TGIF was something I used to hear every Friday 10 years ago when I was working at Apple. All the email will have Calvin and Hobbes or Garfield or some other character echoing the same message. There would be afterwork parties or gathering at Peppermill. But here at this workplace now, nobody really expresses any sense of relief that it's Friday. Myself included... I guess it just seems inappropriate or unprofessional. Friday is actually my most productive day 80% of the time with fewer or no meetings at all. Anyway, I am actually always very excited that it's Friday even though we don't necessary go to any places close to the picture above. But that's ok because my house is just as relaxing and cozy!
I think most of us want to own as little as we can so we don't have to be bothered with storing and organizing things. But the truth of the matter is, we all like newer, better and cuter things! And we all get tired of things we see and use all the time. So the key is to maybe set a per season or per quarter purchase budget and get rid of things after a few years? But like for example, if you have a few picture frames you just love so much, how can you throw them away after a few years? You certainly can not give them away because first, it's used and second, you must have some slight emotional attachments to them... But then you see some new and more stylish ones in the store, what do you do?
